Saturday saver

Ok, I'm starting a tradition: Every Saturday I'm going to tout an earth-friendly idea, event or product to pimp your pad treehugger style. After all, we all have a minute to make a difference on the weekend.

Today, it comes in the form of the "Catchall" basket. Made from used potato chip wrappers picked up on the streets of Nepal, these colorful pieces not only support fair trade practices, but clean up the environment too.

Don't worry, the bags are first cleaned before being wrapped with the dried grasses that make them sealed and stylish. I mean, how cute would this look on the kitchen counter filled with fruit?

The bowls come in four sizes and range from $10 to $28; they're available at http://www.btcelements.com./
